We teach Street Motorcycle training classes that allow students to get their state motorcycle endorsement or improve their skills. We teach in Mohave Valley on the Ft. Mohave Indian Reservation for the street motorcycle Courses. Our Sponsors are the AVI Casino and Fort Mohave Indian Tribe. We conduct classes behind JB's Restaurant located near Hwy 95 about 4 miles north of Needles, CA. Successful course completion allows our students to qualify for a motorcycle endorsement in the states of Arizona, Nevada and any other state that accepts a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Course Completion Card for licensing. Check with your local DMV to see if you qualify.
Motovation operates an approved Motorcycle Training Site with certification through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. We teach both the Basic Ridercourse and Experienced Ridercourse Suite. Both are licensing classes.
How we got started was back in Spring of 2004 when an executive at the
AVI Casino asked about getting motorcycle training closer to the Tri-State
area. At that time training was only available in either Phoenix, AZ (5
hours away) or in Las Vegas, NV (2 hours away). The tribe produced a
parking lot behind JB's restaurant,on the Fort Mohave Indian Tribe Reservation, where we could
conduct motorcycle classes.
We
teach classes on a twelve person size range but our classes are currently limited to six students
(normally
there are two ridercoaches and 12 students on the range). This gives
riders more space on the range, more riding time, and more personalized
attention.
Our Ridercoach is Larry Loyd. He has over 17 years of experience conducting MSF courses in the western United States, at BMW motorcycle national rallies, for the military, and in Great Britain and Germany. He was recognized as an Outstanding MSF Instructor of the Year in 1995. Larry is certified to teach MSF Street, Dirtbike and ATV Safety Institute All Terrain Vehicle courses. He is a licensed instructor for the State of Nevada.
We also offer
The MSF Dirtbike School.
The class consists of the basics; sitting on the motorcycle, location and
operation of controls and straight-line riding. As students progress, they
learn how to ride in circles, make sharp turns and how to ride on hills.
Besides learning new skills, students also discuss responsible riding practices
including risk management and environmental awareness. There are
additional exercises available for more experienced riders. At the end of
the school, students should have a solid understanding of the techniques an
off-highway rider must use to stay safe, act responsibly and, most importantly,
have fun. Completion card received at end of class will qualify student to
ride in states that require formalized off-highway training (ex. Utah and
Oregon). These classes are currently conducted near Las Vegas at
Jean Dry Lake on weekdays and weekends per customer requests. Call us for class dates, pricing, and scheduling.
Special discounts for family and group classes. Video
of class (Windows Media Player Required)
We accept payment via cash, check or credit card. Credit card payments must be made in advance of scheduled classes. A deposit is required to hold a slot in the Basic Ridercourse.
